The government of Puducherry celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, and the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Friday (October 31, 2025).
During the celebration of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) to mark Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary, Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, accompanied by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and other leaders, flagged off the “unity run” of school and college students.
