The Delhi government will send 150 youths carrying Yamuna water to 25 cities to encourage unity and commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, Delhi minister Ashish Sood said on Tuesday.“On October 31, the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the Delhi government will send 150 youths, carrying Yamuna water from Delhi to 25 other cities. In return, the youths will collect water from rivers in those cities, such as the Jhelum in Jammu, the Musi in Hyderabad, and others, and bring it back to Delhi,” Mr. Sood said while addressing a press conference.“This is how we aim to spread the message of unity among the youth,” said Mr. Sood.The Minister said on October 31, thousands of youths will march to the National War Memorial to raise awareness about cleaning the Yamuna and Delhi.Patel, born on 31st October 1875, in Karamsad, Gujarat, was the first Home Minister of independent India.
