The approval of a reform of Italy's judiciary to stop prosecutors and judges swapping roles is a victory for late three-time ex premier and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, his daughter and head of his business empire Marina said after the final green lightfrom the Senate Thursday.
"There are victories that come late, perhaps too late, but that remain great and decisive.
Today's victory is the victory of my father, Silvio Berlusconi," said Marina, 59, whose faher dies at the age of 86 in June 2023 after decades of dominating Italian public life and waging legal battles he said were persecution by left-leaning magistrates.
"It is his strength, his courage, his determination, and, unfortunately, also his suffering, that made possible a day that marks an important step forward for democracy and truth in this country," said Berlusconi, the president of Fininvest and Mondadori, and the former prime minister's eldest daughter.
