A Detroit judge had to give a police officer a real dressing-down on Monday after the officer appeared for a virtual hearing without wearing any pants.

During the hearing, which was related to a case of alleged reckless driving and public intoxication, Judge Sean Perkins asked Officer Matthew Jackson to put his appearance on the record.

The officer complied and identified himself by name, badge number and precinct while raising his right hand.

But Jackson revealed a bit more than he probably intended. Observers, including the judge, noticed something was amiss.

“You got some pants on, officer?” Perkins asked Jackson, who started to respond, “Sir, they’re in the—” before just saying, “No, sir.”
