Peter Thiel, the libertarian billionaire waging war on government
Though usually tight-lipped, Thiel recently devoted an essay to the biblical figure in the Catholic journal First Things. He has given a series of public lectures on the subject, including four – four! – conferences in San Francisco, which were intended to be confidential, though recordings of them were easily obtained by The Guardian and The Washington Post.
