U.S. Treasury yields held steady on Wednesday as investors keenly awaited the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision following its two-day meeting.

At 6:17 a.m. ET, the benchmark 10-year Treasury

yield was less than a basis point higher at 3.989%, while the 2-year Treasury note yield was also little changed at 3.502%. The 30-year bond yield was also up less than a basis point to 4.551%.

One basis point equals 0.01% and yields and prices move in opposite directions.
