Agroup of pro-Palestinian activists blocked a debate on the prospects for peace in the Middle East Monday afternoon at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, interrupting a meeting attended by MP Emanuele Fiano (Democratic Party), leader of the Left for Israel group, with anti-Zionist slogans and signs.
"I tried everything I could to continue," Fiano told ANSA, "but they continued to talk and tell lies about me.
The fascist principle they have in mind is that anyone who doesn't share their views shouldn't speak."
