The government has issued an advisory to the fishermen of Puducherry and Karaikal regions not to venture into the sea till Wednesday morning as a precautionary measure following the formation of a weather system in the Bay of Bengal.

The Fisheries department, besides advising fishermen not to venture into the sea has directed all those already out in the sea for fishing to return to the coast at the earliest.
