Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Michael Fassbender will portray Joe Kennedy Sr. in Kennedy, a new drama series about the iconic family.
The show will examine the family's "lives, loves, rivalries and tragedies" during the 1930s, an official synopsis states.
Casting for Joe's wife, Rose, and their nine children, have not yet been announced.
The series is based on JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956, written by Fredrik Logevall.
