“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert slammed President Donald Trump’s planned $200 million White House ballroom as a “big, dumb vanity project.”
But as it turns out, that’s just the beginning.
Trump isn’t merely giving the White House a makeover. He’s also trying to put his stamp on Washington, D.C., with a massive arch in the middle of the city that he showcased this week.
Colbert’s audience started to jeer, but he cut them off.
“No, it’s actually lovely,” he said. “It’s actually a set of two arches, and I’m told we have the architectural rendering.”
