The Avadi Central Crime Branch (CCB) has recovered ₹9.47 crore — including cash and properties — from suspects involved in multiple cheating cases and returned the amount to the respective victims on Wednesday.

The action came after a series of complaints related to land, document, and job frauds.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Avadi City Police Commissioner A. Shankar and Deputy Commissioner (CCB) S. Maheswaran.

Special teams from the Economic, Land, and Job Racket wings conducted detailed investigations and arrested the accused in 13 cases involving a total loss of ₹10.86 crore.

According to officials, the recovered assets comprised ₹4.92 crore in cash and properties worth ₹4.55 crore.
