Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday described Pakistan as a “breeding ground for terrorism” and said that the administration would act firmly against all elements of the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory.

Mr. Sinha met families of terror victims at Dardpora in Kupwara district, close to the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir. Addressing the gathering, he said, “Culprit Pakistani terrorists and their support system in the Valley ran a false narrative for three decades to absolve terror country Pakistan for its sins. Pakistan, breeding ground for terrorism, is exposed now and those involved in peddling fake narrative on behalf of terrorists will be brought to justice.”

The Lieutenant Governor underlined the need to ensure justice, respect, and dignity for family members of civilians killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists. “It is my top priority. I have assured the family members that their decades-long trauma, torment and suffering is over. We will ensure all the support so that they can reclaim their lives,” Mr. Sinha said.

He added that families of civilians killed by terrorists had “suffered systemic barriers which stifled their progress”. “They were denied their rights and access to resources. All obstacles are now removed and we are ensuring justice and dignity for terror victim families,” he said.
