Former President Barack Obama blasted law firms, universities and businesses for succumbing to the Trump administration as he appeared as the final guest on Marc Maron’s pioneering podcast.
The former president warned that the country is “being tested right now” and urged people to “take a stand” during outspoken comments on many of President Donald Trump’s policies.
Obama returned to “WTF With Marc Maron” for the final episode after 16 years and more than 1,600 episodes of the stand-up comedian’s groundbreaking show.
While still in office a decade ago, the 44th president visited Maron’s Los Angeles garage studio to feature on the show, helping make the podcast one of the biggest in the country when the now-dominant form of media was in its infancy.
The identity of the comic’s final guest was not revealed until the episode dropped Monday. Maron explained the conversation needed to be with a “singular” guest who could “address how we move through the world we’re living in, as frightening as it is.”
