The families of Israeli captives held by Hamas in Gaza received video calls and pre-recorded footage of their loved ones ahead of their release on Monday, according to reports in the Israeli media.
Hamas released all 20 living Israeli captives on Monday morning as part of a prisoner swap deal to end the war on Gaza.
They were divided into two groups, with seven released earlier in the morning and 13 released later. The captives were handed over to the International Red Cross and later transferred to the Israeli military.
The bodies of the dead captives are expected to be handed over later on Monday.
In a rare move ahead of the release of the second group of captives, Hamas allowed several of the detainees to make video calls to their families in Israel.
