Kumki Chinnathambi from the Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) was brought to Coimbatore on Sunday as the Forest Department resumed its operation to capture a male wild elephant near Thondamuthur in the district after a break of over 20 days.
Chinnathambi was brought on a modified truck of the Department from ATR’s Kozhikamuthi elephant camp near Top Slip on Sunday afternoon. The young kumki was stationed near the forest boundary at Kempanur village.
