Two builders have made the grisly find of human bones in a plastic bag - just yards from a graveyard.
Construction workers were removing overgrowth with a digger to build a wooden fence when they found the bag of bones.
The builders, who do not wish to be named, told their firm of the discovery who in turn informed the police.
South Yorkshire Police were called to reports of human remains near St Wilfred's Church by Church Lane in Doncaster at around 9.50am on October 6.
After the force arrived at the scene and made extensive enquiries, it emerged there remains were bones dating back a 'number of decades'.
