Thirumangalam Police in Chennai, on Monday (October 6, 2025), arrested two men in connection with a drug case near Padi Kuppam Main Road. One of the accused Abdul is the son of Syed Ibrahim, BJP Minority Morcha national secretary, police said.Following a tip-off received by the Inspector of Police, Thirumangalam, a police team conducted a search on Monday morning near the junction of Kamarajar Street and Padi Kuppam Main Road. When the police approached a group of youth who were seated suspiciously in a car, to question, one of them fled the scene. The police apprehended the remaining two and, upon searching them, allegedly found cocaine, ganja and banned addictive substances.Following this, a case was registered at Thirumangalam Police Station, and the two men — Abdul Rahman, 21 and Rasheed Ali, 25, both residents of Gandhi Nagar, Red Hills were arrested. From them, police claimed to have seized seven grams of cocaine, 20 grams of ganja, 21 sachets of a banned addictive substance, four mobile phones, a portable ganja grinder, a digital weighing machine, a wristwatch, a glass jar used for smoking ganja, and a car.
