A doctor attached to the Government Taluk Hospital, Thamarassery, Kozhikode, suffered serious head injuries on Wednesday (October 8, 2025) afternoon after he was attacked with a machete by the father of an eight-year-old girl who died of amoebic meningoencephalitis on August 14.P.T. Vipin, the doctor, was attacked by K.V. Sunoop, a native of Korangad, near Thamarassery, and the father of Anaya, who is among the victims of the deadly brain infection in the State this year.
