A 48-year-old man from Koyilandy in Kozhikode has been diagnosed with amoebic meningoencephalitis.He is at present undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital. According to sources, he was admitted to the hospital on July 10 with fever and other symptoms, and the infection was confirmed on July 22.Containment steps have been taken up in his native place.
