Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Omarion Hampton and Kyler Murray were among the NFL players injured in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season. Those hurt will be evaluated throughout the week.

Hampton injured his left ankle in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Chargers' 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. He was seen wearing a walking boot after the game and was to undergo tests on his ankle Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Defensive end Da'Shawn Hand (groin), offensive linemen Trey Pipkins (knee) and Mehki Becton (hand) also sustained injuries. Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh did not provide any updates on the injured players.

Hampton logged 70 yards from scrimmage on 18 touches before his exit. The No. 22 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft totaled 450 yards from scrimmage, including 314 on the ground, and two touchdowns through the first five appearances of his career.
