Left-wing politics was thrown into fresh uproar today as Jeremy Corbyn was registered as the sole leader of Your Party - with no job for Zarah Sultana. Ms Sultana quit Labour earlier this year saying she was going to co-lead a new outfit alongside Mr Corbyn, 76.But after a series of fallings out between the two that led to very public spats, the party has been registered with Mr Corbyn in charge.According to the Electoral Commission listing he is joined in official roles by Adnan Hussain, the former Independent MP for Blackburn, as nominating officer, and Dr Marion Roberts as treasurer. The Commission confirmed that parties can only have one registered leader, although that does not prevent them from having an internal structure that includes a co-leader.Reports suggest the leadership structure will will be voted on at its first party conference next month. But it did not stop some on the left complaining that it was 'a political act, crowning him (Corbyn) as king of the party before any votes have been cast'.At the same time, Ms Sultana, the Coventry South MP, this morning told supporters that like them she had been left 'demoralised' by the summer of rows. At the same time, Ms Sultana, the Coventry South MP, this morning told supporters that like them she had been left 'demoralised' by the summer of rows.In an email to her backers she said: 'I know the launch has not been without its challenges.'I’d like to apologise for the uncertainty and confusion, which I recognise has left many feeling demoralised. I share that feeling. 'But let me be clear: my commitment is, and always will be, to build a genuinely democratic, socialist party that puts members first. 'Both Jeremy and I are determined to make this project a success.'Mr Corbyn finally launched the party last week, following a major spat that threatened to prevent it from happening at all.The former Labour leader launched a portal for people to join Your Party after he and Ms Sultana cooled their blazing row over an 'unauthorised' membership email ddays earlier. She had accused Mr Corbyn and other male independent MPs involved in the project of being part of a 'sexist boys club' that was excluding her from decisions, before relenting. It sparked criticism of the whole effort and questions about how viable it is as a party. We are that alternative. Let's build it, together.'But it also gives well-heeled socialists the option of voluntarily paying up to £100 per month to fund the fight for equality. However the standard fee may also raise eyebrows as it comes out at £60 for 12 months - more than any other major party apart from Labour and the Greens.
