WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- The Department of Housing and Urban Development has posted banners on its official website blaming the "radical left" for the government shutdown -- a move that questions ethics by injecting partisan politics into a federal agency's public communications.

The HUD website is not the only one with messaging like this. Others include the White House, State Department, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice -- all with similar language saying "Democrats shut down the government."

The White House even posted a 24/7 "live news" video that is a constant stream of "Democrats in their own words" and blaming them for the shutdown.

HUD is led by Scott Turner, a former NFL cornerback who served during President Donald Trump's first term as executive director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council, which promoted economic development in low-income communities.

Upon opening the HUD website, users are met with a large red message that reads "The Radical Left in Congress shut down the government. HUD will use available resources to help Americans in need." With every click, a user is met with a flashing pop-up of the same message.
