An Army Sergeant who discovered trainees having a party punished them by making them iron their uniforms and perform kit inspections until 3am, a military court has heard.
Sergeant Timothy Boyden stormed into an Army accommodation block at 3 Royal School of Military Engineering Regiment, at Gibraltar Barracks in Surrey, at around 10pm on February 24, 2024.
He found more than a dozen trainees in the middle of a Saturday night party, it was heard.
Upon being discovered, some of the Army engineers-in-training - who the court heard had consumed alcohol - 'hid in the closet' in an attempt to avoid getting caught.
Engineer Sgt Boyden then allegedly punished his recruits over five hours with a series of tasks that took them into the early hours of the morning.
