The Government Stanley Medical College is all set to host its academic festival — Empower 2025 — from October 8 to 11, bringing together medical students from across India for four days of advanced learning, competitions, and research exchange.According to a press release, the medical college has launched a mobile application for its academic festival. The app enables one-click registrations, abstract submissions, venue navigation, and live updates. It offers a comprehensive repository of the previous years’ university exam questions, organised year-wise and subject-wise, making it an academic resource for students even after the event.The Empower festival has a 19-year history. It began in 2005 as an intercollege medical quiz competition. This year, it will feature workshops in super speciality subjects including medical and surgical gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, plastic surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery. Three major quizzes — Ophthalmology Quiz, a Neurology System-Based Quiz, and a Preclinical Quiz that covers first and second-year subjects — along with research paper presentations, case discussions, and poster presentations will be held, the release said.
