Britons are bracing themselves for stormy weather this weekend with Hurricane Humberto to bring torrential rain and strong winds.
A thirty-seven yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for parts of western Scotland from 5pm Wednesday until 6am on Friday amid fears between 50mm and 75mm of rain could fall.
But the Met Office has warned the alert could cover much of the UK from Friday with cyclones Humberto and Imelda currently battering the Atlantic.
Remnants from the twin hurricanes - which has caused schools to close in the Bahamas and with one man dead in Cuba - could sweep across the Atlantic and bring disruptive weather to northwest Europe.
Meteorologists have described the situation as 'complex' with fears Humberto could bring 'some very strong winds'.
