A 53-year-old man was killed after reportedly losing control of his motorcycle and falling into a water-filled pit dug for road works on the Hyderabad–Warangal National Highway.The Bhongir police booked a case.According to an officer from the Bhongir police, the deceased has been identified as Kadari Ramesh, 53, a resident of Peddawada, and a builder by profession.“Ramesh attended a relative’s function at SLNS Function Hall in Bhongir on the afternoon of September 28. While his son Mahesh left the venue around 5 p.m., his father was not found at the hall. When Ramesh failed to return home by 8.30 p.m., Mahesh called and found out that Ramesh was in Ghatkesar but could not speak coherently. His phone was switched off soon afterwards,” said the officer.On the following morning, at around 8.30 a.m., Mahesh was informed by an acquaintance that his father and his motorcycle, bearing registration number TS 30 J 6500, were found in a water hole dug for road works near Deepthi Hotel. Rushing to the spot, Mahesh found his father’s body lying in the pit.He stated in his complaint that there were no external injuries on the body and that his father may have died after losing control of his vehicle and falling into the hole.
