A 17-year-old boy was thrashed by a man and his son in Kodandaram Nagar Colony, Saroornagar, on Sunday night after an altercation over a dog.An officer from the Saroornagar police said that the incident took place at around 9.30 p.m. on September 28, when the boy, identified as Dasari Sai, was on his way to a nearby shop. “On reaching the house of Lanka Lakshmi Narayana on Road No. 5, he encountered a barking dog. Frightened, he threw a stone at the animal to scare it away. Later, while returning by the same route, he was confronted by the dog’s owners, Lanka Lakshmi Narayana and his son Lanka Shiva Narayana Murthy,” said the officer.Angered by his act, the duo allegedly beat the boy with sticks, leaving him with bleeding injuries.The boy’s mother lodged a complaint at Saroornagar police station.A case has been registered and investigation is under way.
