Karur stampede: Dreams of two to-be engaged youngsters crushed

Among the lives lost in the stampede that occurred during the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s rally in Karur on Saturday (September 27, 2025) night were two youngsters who were to get engaged next month, according to grieving family members.The victims were identified as M. Akash, 26, an IT professional, and S. Gokulasri, 26, an M. Ed., working as a guest lecturer at Valluvar College of Science and Management in Karur.
