The police have seized MDMA and ganja after a dramatic car chase in Kasaragod, Kerala. One person was arrested, while the main accused, a dentist, managed to escape.The seizure was made after the Bekal DySP, a DANSAF squad and the Melparamba police, acting on instructions from the District Police Chief, attempted to intercept a car suspected of smuggling drugs at 55th Mile.Instead of stopping, the vehicle sped away, prompting a chase by the police. The car was forced to halt at Chattanchal Junction after colliding with a scooter. At that point, the driver, later identified as Muhammed Suneer, a dentist, fled the scene. The police, however, arrested his companion, M. Ahmed Kabir, 36, a resident under the Melparamba police station limits.Officers recovered 3.28 grams of MDMA and 10.65 grams of cannabis from the car, which was also seized.A drug case has been registered against Suneer, who remains absconding.The police said efforts were under way to trace him.The operation was led by Melparamba Sub-Inspector A.N.
