Ed Davey has sparked fury after claiming Britain could see US-style school shootings if Nigel Farage becomes prime minister.

The Liberal Democrat leader said schools may have to teach children 'what to do in case of a mass shooting' if the Reform UK chief enters Number 10.

Sir Ed ramped up his attacks against Mr Farage at his party conference speech in Bournemouth on Tuesday - claiming Reform wants to turn the UK into Donald Trump's America.

And in an extraordinary broadside the Lib Dem leader said Mr Farage wants to see gun laws 'rolled back' during an almost hour-long speech in which he named the Reform leader more than 30 times.

Reform hit back at the claim and said it has no plans to change gun laws, branding Sir Ed a 'sad little man desperate for attention'. Mr Farage added that the Lib Dem leader is 'obsessed with me'.
