The Marquess of Ailesbury has been fined after being caught speeding for the second time in a year.
David Michael James Brudenell-Bruce, 72, was driving at 26mph on a 20mph road last December, a short hearing at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court, which he did not attend, heard.
He exceeded the speed limit while driving his 1.2 litre black electric Vauxhall Mokka SUV along the A4 Cromwell Road, Kensington, west London.
The Ninth Marquess has also been slapped with three points on his licence and may be liable for disqualification under the points totting rules, after a previous speeding offence in May 2024.
He initially pleaded guilty by letter but then requested a personal hearing.
