B.Y. Raghavendra, MP for Shivamogga, on Tuesday, directed the Udupi Zilla Panchayat Engineering Department to submit a report on the implementation of the Rashtreeya Jal Jeevan Mission works in the district.
Chairing the District Development Coordination Committee (Disha) meeting at Rajatadri, district office complex at Manipal in Udupi, Mr. Raghavendra pointed out that 19 gram panchayats in Udupi taluk have passed resolutions expressing serious dissatisfaction over the quality of works executed. Out of 525 works, 487 were complete and 38 were in progress, thereby achieving 93% progress. Byndoor Assembly constituency in Udupi district comes under Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency.
