It’s said that in the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight. Whoever said that never met these Detroit Lions, who are wide awake in Week 3.

Dan Campbell’s Lions were a clear underdog on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens but marched out of the “Charm City” with a 38-30 victory. While the Ravens have been considered a clear Super Bowl contender, the Lions have been thought of as pretenders following the loss of both coordinators in the offseason.

You wouldn’t know it on Monday night, as John Morton’s offense shined and Kelvin Sheppard’s defense stole the show.

Plenty of questions were raised in Detroit after a blowout loss in Week 1. They remained after a blowout win in Week 2. Those questions will be put to rest after a dominating performance on the road in Baltimore in Week 3.

The game was tied at the end of every quarter except the fourth, but Detroit’s toughness on both sides of the ball was the difference.
