The luxury watchmaker updates 2 beloved lines with coloured dials and diamond accents, including actor Cheng Yi’s favourite, the Tudor Royal
Since the 1950s, the Tudor Royal name has been attached to some of the brand’s most noteworthy models. The collection was relaunched in 2020, celebrating some of the groundbreaking luxury sports watches created by Tudor in the 1970s. The Tudor Royal represents a fascinating hybrid: with its imposing integrated metal bracelet and trademark notched bezel, combined with a refined dial showcasing Roman numeral indications, it’s a sophisticated dress watch in a rugged sports watch’s clothing.
Now, this Tudor classic has been refreshed with a model that boldly states its credentials: it shows off a seductive blue dial alongside a generous dusting of diamonds on the dial and bezel. It comes in a 28mm case in either stainless steel or a combination of stainless steel and yellow gold, a choice that’s also available with the bezel and bracelet. The latter, a Tudor signature, juxtaposes a trio of wide satin-brushed links with two slim, polished elements. The new Tudor Royal has recently been spotted on the wrist of one of China’s most popular actors, Tudor brand ambassador Cheng Yi.
