A 17-year-old juvenile was beaten to death by a group of youngsters following a clash over riding a two-wheeler in their street in Kolathur.
The deceased has been identified as V. Harshvardhan, 17, a bike mechanic, of Murugan Nagar, Kolathur. Police sources said he was driving his two-wheeler rashly with his friends on pillion on Pajanai Koil street, Thathankuppam. Irked by rash driving, Tharun, a resident of the street questioned them . He also knocked on Harshvardhan’s head and it led to a squabble between them. Two days ago, Harshvardhan, who went along with a friend, drove rashly again and a clash broke out between Harshvardhan and Tharun. Tharun and his friends attacked Harshvardhan and his friends violently.
