Heavy rain resumed in various parts of Hyderabad on Monday (September 22, 2025) late afternoon, just ahead of the evening rush hour. This led to traffic snarls on arterial roads with traffic police issuing advisory about waterlogging and gridlocks in various locations.
Jubilee Hills and areas surrounding it in Hyderabad received heavy rainfall in an hour.. While the highest rainfall in the city was below 0.1 cm till 4 p.m., heavy rain lashed from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m. with 8.63 cm recorded in Jubilee Hills Circle or CMTC premises in Shaikpet mandal, followed by 8.6 cm in Srinagar Colony and 7.53 cm near Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) in Khairatabad. Several other parts of Hyderabad received moderate rain - between 1.56 cm to 6.44 cm of rainfall. All of this was within an hour from 4 to 5 PM
