Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai, to strengthen collaboration in healthcare innovation, translational research, and medical technology development.
A press note said the SBV inked the agreement through its flagship unit SBV Innovation Eco System & MIPTECH – Mission for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer during the Innovation Alliance 2025 ceremony held recently.
The alliance focuses on medical device innovation, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, clinical trials, incubation support, and joint project funding. It also paves the way for student internships, collaborative publications, and consultancy opportunities.
N.R. Biswas, Vice-Chancellor of SBV, said the partnership would futher the vision of creating a vibrant innovation ecosystem that translates research into real-world healthcare solutions for society.
T. Thyagarajan, Pro Vice-Chancellor of VIT, Chennai, said the synergy of VIT’s engineering and technology expertise and SBV’s healthcare strengths would co-develop impactful innovations that will benefit both academia and industry.
