Israeli PM said the move by the UK, Canada and Australia ‘will not happen’ and he will formally respond after a meeting with Trump next week

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday recognition of a Palestinian state by Britain, Canada and Australia was a “huge reward to terrorism”.

“And I have another message for you: It will not happen. A Palestinian state will not be established west of the Jordan River,” he said in a statement.

Netanyahu said Israel will respond to the recognition of a Palestinian state by several Western powers only after his return from a trip to the United States.

The area west of the Jordan River includes Israel, the West Bank and Gaza.
