Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a small forum discussion on Sunday regarding ongoing talks for a security agreement with Syria, Israeli sources said.

According to the sources, some progress has been made, but Israel does not expect a finalized agreement before the UN General Assembly convenes next week.

The meeting follows Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa's statement earlier this week that "talks on an agreement with Israel may bear fruit in the coming days."
