The group, consisting of Kofi Offeh, Jean Gasho, and Kaura Taylor, was previously evicted from private land on Tuesday but moved to a new site. Scottish Borders Council initiated legal action, and the group has been ordered to vacate the premises by noon on Monday. Should they fail to comply, the council intends to seek a further order from a sheriff for their removal. The group claims they are reclaiming land stolen from their ancestors 400 years ago and stated on social media that their “kingdom can never be destroyed”.
