Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio will stand trial over the alleged sharing of a sex tape involving a minor.
A Spanish court order signed by Judge Julio Luis Wood Rodriguez confirmed on Thursday that Asencio will be one of four defendants in the trial, alongside three of his former Madrid youth system team-mates. The judge’s decision for them to testify — which was communicated to them on September 2 — is not subject to appeal.
In May, the court confirmed that Asencio and the other players could face criminal proceedings following an investigation into the allegations.
