The prime suspect in the case of Madeleine McCann's disappearance headed straight to McDonalds after being freed from prison in Germany today.
Christian Brueckner, 48, had been serving a seven-year term at Sehnde prison for an unrelated offence before being released at 9:15am local time this morning.
He has not been charged in the McCann case due to a lack of evidence, prosecutors say, adding his release has 'no direct impact' on it.
But prosecutors do fear that Brueckner, a convicted sex offender, could still 'relapse' or flee the country.
He has been ordered to wear electronic ankle tag for the next five years, though this would not work were he to leave Germany.
