British woman 'raped by police officer in front of his colleague'

A British woman has claimed she was raped by a French police officer in front of his colleague after they found her wandering the streets drunk.

According to the unnamed Brit, three cops picked her up last week on a road in the French town of Aubagne, near Marseille.

The woman, who was intoxicated, claims one of the officers proceeded to rape her in the back of the police vehicle in front of at least one other cop, French newspaper Le Figaro reports.

The next day, she immediately went to a police station and filed a complaint against the officer.

Marseille's prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the alleged incident and the three cops were arrested on Friday.
