A British tourist claimed to have been lured to a secluded spot in Morocco by a fake tour guide who then raped her before fleeing on his horse. The unnamed woman had been visiting the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture last week when the horrific assault allegedly took place near a hotel on Taghazout beach.According to local reports, the fake guide had arrived on his horse and introduced himself before engaging in a short conversation with the alleged victim.He then reportedly offered to take her to a scenic spot near the popular tourist area of Taghazout.However, the fake guide then allegedly lured the British woman to a secluded area before raping her and fleeing on his horse.When the tourist arrived back at the hotel, she informed those she was travelling with, as well as hotel management, of what had happened.A complaint was registered and the local Royal Gendarmerie began an active search for the alleged rapist.Authorities swept the local area, carried out witness interviews and interrogated horse owners along the coast which led to the man's arrest. The unnamed alleged victim had been visiting the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture last week when the horrific assault took place near a hotel on on Taghazout beach (pictured)Local media reports claim the alleged attacker was then subject to police checks where investigators discovered he had a criminal record in similar cases.The man was confronted by the woman in front of the King's Attorney General at the Agadir Court of Appeal, where she immediately recognised him.He was then placed in police custody pending investigation.It comes a month after a teenager was arrested after a woman was dragged into bushes and raped in front of the Eiffel Tower.The suspect, a Libyan 17-year-old, was taken into custody shortly after the horrific attack near the Champ-de-Mars.According to initial evidence gathered by police officers at the scene, it was 2.40am when a man forcibly dragged the victim, a Ukrainian woman, 32, behind a bush.He then allegedly sexually assaulted and raped her. The victim's screams quickly alerted police on a patrol nearby. The suspect, who was reportedly drunk, was immediately arrested.
