The outstanding quality of the Daily Mail's journalism across print and digital has been recognised once again with more nominations than any other title at the prestigious London Press Club awards, including Press Media Title of the Year.
Leading the way were reporters Sam Greenhill and David Williams. They were the first to uncover a massive data leak which threatened the lives of thousands of Afghans, and led the way in the subsequent court fight to overturn the draconian super injunction the Ministry of Defence put in place to cover it up.
Their exclusive, broken on Dailymail.co.uk to millions of digital readers around the world, was rightly rewarded with a nod in the Scoop of the Year category.
Chief Reporter Sam Greenhill was also nominated for Journalist of the Year alongside Deputy Chief Reporter Inderdeep Bains, who lifted the lid on the culture of sexual abuse and misogyny in Britain's Royal Navy submarines.
The Daily Mail's Katie Hind was picked out yet again in the Showbusiness category, while veteran reporter Stephen Wright was nominated for Specialist Journalist for his investigation into the wrongful conviction of Peter Sullivan.
