Jimmy Kimmel said President Donald Trump has an unusual way of mourning Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist who was shot and killed last week at an event in Utah.

Asked how he was holding up, Trump said “very good,” then quickly changed the subject and bragged about the start of construction of a new ballroom at the White House.

“He’s at the fourth stage of grief: construction,” Kimmel said. “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.”

It wasn’t just once.

Kimmel rolled footage of Trump during a separate interview going off on a tangent about the ballroom while speaking about Kirk.
