The MGR Nagar Police has arrested two transpersons for allegedly robbing a youth.
According to police, the youth, Jess Alan Rosario, 24 of Thiruninravur has been staying in MGR Nagar and working with a private firm. On the night of September 10, he was returning after watching a film in a theatre. While he was walking in Kasi Estate, the two transpersons waylaid and assaulted him demanding money. As he told them that he had no money in his hand, they snatched his mobile phone and transferred money from his digital wallet and fled.
Based on his complaint, police arrested the duo who have been identified as Shanthi alias Manikandan, 28 and Saina alias Vembu Singaraja, 19 of Jafferkhanpet.
