Fresh concern has been raised over the welfare of a young woman living in a remote woodland camp with a self-proclaimed African 'royal tribe' amid growing speculation that she may be pregnant.
The group, who call themselves the Kingdom of Kubala, have set up a makeshift encampment in woodland near Jedburgh, in the Scottish Borders, claiming they are reclaiming ancestral land 'stolen from a black Jewish tribe centuries ago'.
The trio consists of Kofi Offeh, 36, from Ghana, who styles himself as King Atehene, his wife Jean Gasho, 42, from Zimbabwe, who calls herself Queen Nandi and their so-called 'handmaiden' Asnat, 21, who was born Kaura Taylor in the United States.
'I am the inferior mistress and I play as a surrogate for the queen,' Taylor said in a recent Facebook video.
Originally from Texas, Taylor was a chess prodigy in her youth but is now living in the primitive woodland camp with Offeh and Gasho. Her family have pleaded with her to return home.
