Police have launched a manhunt for an anti-Semitic attacker who carried out 'revolting' acts of vandalism against seven Jewish premises.

Four synagogues had 'a substance smeared on them' while a liquid was thrown towards a school and over a car in two other incidents, according to the Metropolitan Police.

An investigation is underway after the Jewish premises in Barnet, north London, were targeted in separate incidents over recent weeks, the force said.

Following inquiries, police said they believe the same suspect is likely responsible for all seven offences which are being investigated as religiously-motivated criminal damage.

The force have released CCTV footage of a man that they want to speak to in connection with the probe.
