Sir Keir Starmer has suffered yet another embarrassing exit from his Labour administration following his sacking of Lord Mandelson as US ambassador.

The PM has endured a steady stream of departures from across his ministerial and Downing Street teams, as well as other posts, during his 14 months in power.

These include a now-resigned Cabinet minister who was revealed to have a fraud conviction, and a former corruption minister who is on trial for alleged corruption.

Lord Mandelson's exit is also the second high-profile departure in just two weeks since Sir Keir attempted a 'phase two' relaunch of his Labour Government.

The PM's 'reset' was almost immediately derailed by Angela Rayner's resignation as Deputy PM last week.
